Preparing the Perfect Paneer Tikka

1. Prepare the Paneer:

Cut the paneer into 1-inch cubes. If using store-bought paneer, you can soak the pieces in warm water for 10 minutes to soften them.

2. Prepare the Marinade:

In a bowl, take the thick yogurt. Make sure it’s thick so the marinade sticks to the paneer. If your yogurt is runny, strain it through a muslin cloth or sieve to remove excess water.Add ginger-garlic paste, besan, turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, kasuri methi, lemon juice, and salt.Whisk everything well to form a smooth, thick marinade. Taste it to adjust the salt or spice levels if needed.

Prepare the Aromatics: Heat oil in a kadhai or deep pan over medium heat. After adding the cumin seeds, give them a little moment to crackle.  Add sliced onions and sauté until they attain a golden brown color. Stir in the ginger and minced garlic until fragrant.
